Installation Guide

It is highly recommended that you close all instances of any Microsoft Office application on the computer to which you are installing the Outlook Add-In before you start the installation process.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2007 or 2010
  • A valid Vonage account (you'll need your username and password handy; it is the same username/password that you use one the Vonage web site).

Any run-time libraries necessary is included in the installer and will be installed as necessary.

You will find the latest release by going to the Downloads tab.

Clean install

After you have downloaded the installation file, start the executable. You may be asked to agree to one or more licenses, depending on what needs to be installed on your computer. After the installation completes successfully you can start Outlook and prepare the add-in for use.

Upgrade from previous version

If you are upgrading from a previous version of VDialer, you must first uninstall the old version (go to the Windows Control Panel and select "Uninstall a program". Locate the VDialer Addin and select uninstall). After removing the old version, proceed with the same steps as a clean install. All your existing settings will be preserved.

Windows Control Panel

First time use

The first time you start Outlook after installing the add-in, you may see a warning message that the publisher cannot be verified. Press the "Install" button to confirm that you want to use the add-in.

Customization installation dialog

Before you can start using the add-in you will need to add your Vonage account details. In Outlook, go to the Tools menu, select Options and go to the VDialer tab (in Outlook 2010, go to File | Options. Select Add-Ins from the options menu, then press the "Launch Add-in options dialog" button). For further instructions, see the User Guide.
